I have a humble suggestion on how to compete against google on online
search. If you click on google.com, the only thing you get is a page where
you can search. Hence people associate searching with Google. If you can come
up with a fancy catchy name for the online search page which has only a
search box similar to Google and market it, it could become a competitor to
Google. Ofcourse, Microsoft has to work better on indexing pages.
