Compile error in hidden module: Autoexec

Shortly after installing some updates to W2K I started
receiving the following error message whenever I start or
exit Word or Excel in office 2002:

"Compile error in hidden module: Autoexec"

It was a week or two since I used either program so I am
not sure if it started right away or later, or if for that
matter there is any relationship.

The error message is in a dialog box that is headed as a
Visual Basic Error. If I click the OK button the programs
seem to work OK. I would like to get rid of the erroe
message.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

It worked great for word. Is there a similar way for
Excel. The problem does not seem to appear in Power point
or access.

I had this same problem occur for several users. This
occured after transplanting their files/settings using PC
Transplant. This was part of an XP migration. I found
that each of the users also had adobe acrobat installed.
Apparently the transplant of acrobat didn't occur
smoothly. Reinstalling acrobat cleared the problem both in
WORD and in Excel.

Hope this helps.

I guess you'll have to ask this in an Excel NG.
