Compile error in hidden module: AZWizardModule

Whenever I try to save an OCR read document (ABBYY FineReader 8.0 Pro) into
Word 2007 I get a Microsoft Visual Basic error described as "Compile error
in hidden module: AZWizardModule"

Can anyone please tell me what this means and what I need to do to fix the
problem?

You have an add-in that contains macro code in which there's an error.
According to several sites found by Google, AZWizard is from the German
office of Avery Dennison, so if you've installed any of their software,
that's the place to start looking.

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm for the
procedure to isolate and remove the offending add-in.

Jay,

I have validated your prompt and ao removed the Word Add-in and I am
delighted to report that the problem no longer exists.

Many thanks for your prompt and helpful response.

Kind regards,

Hi, Avery is my problem so I've read on this site. I disabled the Avery toolbar and uninstalled Avery in my programs & features. I can open Word but all my saved files come up with that irritating "AZWizardModul error" and Word does not function properly. Can I just uninstall Word and reinstall it? Do I have to save all my Word files before I do this? Help, please. Grandma needs help with easy directions to follow. Thanks for being here. Rosemarie Wentworth

You do NOT have to reinstall Word -- in fact, it wouldn't do any good if you
did.

Uninstalling the Avery program leaves behind a template that it had installed.
You just have to delete that template.

With Word shut down, start the "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer" application
(the file manager for Windows). Copy the following line, paste it into the
address bar of the file manager, and press Enter:

%appdata%\Microsoft\Word\Startup

Select the Avery template (I'm not sure of the name, but it's probably
AZWizard.dot) and delete it.

Now you should be able to use Word without the error message.
