compile error in hidden module: modshadowmacros

In Word 2003 when I attempt to open an exisiting document
I get the above error message.

Does anyone know what this means?

Hi Rick,

Either in the application startup directory (likely C:\ Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office 11\Startup) or in one specific you your login,
there is probably a dot or doc that contains macros, of which one contains
an error in a macro called "FileNew" dig around to find the dot or doc that
contains a module called "modshadowmacros" and remove that document from
it's location. That should eliminate the error messages.
