I've just installed Leopard and have opened Excel for the first time. The message 'compile error in hidden module: Module 1' comes up when I open and when I click OK it comes back, endlessly, therefore not allowing me to use the application at all. This happened in Tiger except I could click OK and get to the spreadsheet. A friend found the solution for Tiger but I don't remember exactly where to find the components that needed to be deleted nor what they were called. They were in Library or Utilities or Keychains or Cookies or one of those folders I never look at. I'm afraid I don't know much about how these different elements work together so can't be logical about where to look. But I remember there were 3 or 4 items that had to be deleted in order to eliminate the message.
Also, is this my computer suddenly or this website: I'm experiencing a 2 - 3 sec delay between clicking the mouse or typing on the keyboard and seeing the effect on the screen. Frequent spinning beach balls. This started when I got to this website.
I welcome words from the wise.
