compile error

Our organization has a database that was created in access
97. we recently upgraded to windows xp and access was
upgraded. Now, when the database is opened we get an
error message stating "a compile error" when we click ok,
we get a pop-up and the only option is halt. the pop-up
has something to do with an AutoExec macro that
is "runcode" start(). i'm not sure why it's doing this
and how to fix it. any help is greatly appreciated. just
to let you know that when the database starts (before) it
would automatically put a customized menu bar (to
eliminate users from access to the database window)

again any help is greatly appreciated.

Nydia,

Open the database holding down the Shift key to prevent
the autoexec macro from running. Then you can try to run
it in Step mode to identify the problematic action.

P.S. Renaming the macro to anything else to stop it from
running at db open until you solve the problem, would
probably make life easier...
