complete drawing in 3d-perspective

How can I make a drawing with 3d items (computers, servers, etc.) with
connectors in the same 3d-perspective? I've seen some examples on the
Ms-site, but whenever I draw connectors they are 2d.
The same applies for squares: I want to draw squares underneath the 3d-items
in order to be able to group them.
Is this possible?

Those are Visio drawings. The Windows Server group created a number of
isometric network topology diagrams, complete with custom connectors. At
one point in the past the actual Visio drawings were available for download,
but I can no longer find them. They seem to have been replaced by Word
documents. :(

Basically you achieve the look by drawing your own lines and boxes at a 30
degree angle.

Thanks,
I'll try this.

Hmmm. The result isn't quite what I expected. Ok, I can rotate a box 30
degrees. but the box stays 2d (4 times a corner of 90 degrees). When I look
at the example network diagram (I got it from the visio2007-flash-demo) I see
boxes as if 'they were laying on the floor' (2 times a corner of 30 degrees
and 2 time 150). So the question is:
Is it possible to make such boxes or do I have to make them on my own?
