I had to do a recovery of my XP operating system. The OS and network are
up, and I've reinstalled Office XP.
When running Outlook XP and, for instance, trying to access Tools|Email
Accounts:
"Operation failed due to a registry or installation problem. Restart
Outlook and Try Again. If the problem persists please reinstall".
I tried restarting and reinstalling, but I have the same problem. I also
can't File|Open to select my saved PST file (same error). I *can* get
Outlook Express configured and when I reopen Outlook it says it is importing
the email account information. But when I tried to access the account
through Tools, I get the same message.
Can anyone point me to a procedure to COMPLETELY reinstall Office? I need
to remove all traces of the underling Office 2000 and my Office XP upgrade!
TIA
