Completed Items in Resource Assignment View

Why are completed items (%complete = 100%) still displayed in the resource
assignments view? I have been using the filter (%complete <> 100%), but I
think there should be a better way.

Completed task assignments are a part of the assignments history for a
resource, which is why you see them in a Resource Assignments view in PWA.
An easier way would be for your Project Server administrator to create a
custom PWA view for you that would eliminate the completed tasks. Hope this
helps.

Just because something is complete is not a reason to remove it. Previous
tasks and assignments are still part of the project schedule.

Thanks Jack/Dale.

What I am ultimately interested in is a view to see all current tasks across
projects (preferably grouped by project) and who is assigned to the task. I
was unable to locate an appropriate view type, and the resource assignment
view type does not allow filtering.

The resource assignments view is perfect, except that I get a PJGRD12.ocx
error if I include all resources (if I choose some at a time it is okay). My
initial guess was that the control was getting overloaded with every task for
every resource for every project we have ever done.

Dale, hope you get a message that someone is replying to this message,
otherwise it is buried in this forum...

but...

you said to create a custom view in PWA....that's all well and good, but
either I'm blind or stoopid, but I don't see a way to set up a custom filter
in a view for Resource Assignments...am I crazy or what?

If I want to filter out all %complete = 100 assignments, then I have to
create this filter everytime I come to this page...I should-but don't seem to
be able to-create a custom view that contains a predefined filter.

Help?! thanks!

No, you are not blind (or stoopid). I misspoke when I replied that the
Project Server administrator should create a custom View that filters out
completed tasks. I was answering the question from member, which is kind of
stoopid since my memory is fading. :) Sorry for any confusion my reply
might have caused you. Hope this helps.

Afraid so. I think I need a holiday in the Lakes District in England.
Hiking and camping...that should sharpen my memory, right? :)
