completed tasks in PWA showing on resource assignments

I am using MSP 2002 standard with Project Server 2002. I have a number of
tasks for a resource that have been completed. The resource has sent me the
updates for the completed tasks and I accepted all of the changes and saved
the project file. Now when I look at resource assignments it shows all of
the completed tasks marked complete, but it will not remove them from the
resources task list. The little icon says that the update has been sent but
that it has not yet been updated in the project file. I have updated the
project file saved it and published new and changed assignments. Am I
missing something? It seems to work fine for my other projects as completed
tasks drop off from resource task lists after completion.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

After you process the task updates, you need to publish schedule changes to
the project using Collaborate - Publish - All Information. Are you
routinely doing so after every task update cycle?

Thanks for the responce Dale. I was using Collaborate - Publish - New and
Changed Assignments. I wasn't sure exactly how the different publishing
options worked and it intuitively seemed like the choice. Would that be the
reason that my tasks are not updating?
