Completely new menu

Max

I want to turn off the default menu in Access and create my own from scratch
that will be available during all functions in a database. The tutorial
shows how to add menu items to a new menu pad, but I can't find there or in
the KB how to initiate a completely new menu and have it show for the user.

Thanks in advance.

to create a new menu: from the database window, right click on the "gray"
area of the menu bar and choose Customize... when the Customize dialog
opens, click on the Toolbars tab and click the New... button to create a
*toolbar* object. then click the Properties button (below the New button) to
open the Toolbar Properties dialog. *make sure that the Selected Toolbar is
the toolbar you just created.* then change the Type from Toolbar to Menu
Bar or Popup (the shortcut menu that shows on a right-click).

to show a custom menu to the user, you can set it as the default menu for
the database (in Tools | Startup), or as the default menu far a particular
form (form design view, Properties box, Other tab).
