Completing Tasks OK in PWA-not Project

I have a couple of PM's who say when their team members complete tasks by
especially if they take 'remaining hours' to 0, the task sheet will show the
check mark and list it as 100% complete. However, after the PM goes through
the approval process, often Project does not reflect that the task is
complete.

Viewing the task on the desktop shows less than 100%, then the PM asks the
team member to complete the task (based on their destop view) and the team
member says they HAVE completed it.

Is their anything we can check/monitor with the spooler perhaps that might
give us a clue as to what's going on?

After awhile (often a day or two) the PM finally goes into the desktop and
enters 100% - which is not good.

This does not seem to happen every time, nor with all team members. Some
PM's don't seem to have a problem.

Any ideas...??

Thanks...

There may be multiple assignments on that task. If one resource completes the
work on a task, that does not necessarily mean all work on that task has been
completed. MS Project reflects 100% complete when all resources assigned
finish all work.

That's true, but the ones I've seen so far are 1 to 1....i.e. one resource
per task.
