Complex HTML crash

Recently, Entourage has been crashing ("unexpected quit") whenever I try
to display an HTML e-mail. I unchecked the "display complex HTML in
messages" checkbox in Preferences and it works fine, except, of course,
that HTML mail now appears as plain text and is thus very difficult to read.

I have updated to 10.2.8 on this computer (Powerbook G4 667) but not on
my others, and I don't have the problem on the others. So I'd guess it
may be a result of the 10.2.8 update, although this is the ONLY problem
with 10.2.8 that I have been able to detect.

Does anyone know if this is a known symptom of 10.2.8? If so, is there a
workaround so I don't have to revert to 10.2.6, which is tedious (I
recently formatted my hard drive and reinstalled everything, so I don't
feel like going through a system reinstall again!)? If not from 10.2.8,
what could be causing it? I've cleansed the hard drive with a
permissions rebuild and a DiskWarrior directly replacement. Office X is
fully updated to 10.1.5.

Any help will be appreciated.

Ken -- this seems like what has been happeneing to me, except it began with
10.2.6 in my case.

I have to try deleting some files, but in the meantime, try logging in as
another user and looking at the same mail message and see if it still
crashes.

I found the problem (on my system at least)! It has nothing to do with
10.2.8. To make a VERY long story short, I trashed my the following file
and complex HTML works fine now:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.internetconfig.plist

Try it and see if this works.

Kens solution works perfect for me
