Complex Project

Project 2003:
I have been using Project to track rather simple projects. It is now
becoming necessary to create a management tool for a complex and lengthy
set of tasks that appear to lend themselves to being tracked in
separate Project files. They do need to be interconnected which I
propse to do by linking project files together.
One of the many uncertainties I have about attempting this is: Is there
a theoretical limit to the number of files I can link to a main file,
where many of the task in the main file will be successors to tasks in
the external files? Futher, is there a practical limit?
Thank you for any information.
