Complex Scripting - Font Dialog Box

I have Word 2002 and noticed just now that my Font dialog box has a new area in it called Complex Scripting and the font choice above it says Latin Text.
Tools > Options has a new tab called Complex Scripting too.
I am not sure how this came about? I have Word 2002 SP3 installed on Windows XP Home edition. Has anyone seen this or know what it is and do I need to remove it?

Hi Michele,

You have probably installed support for some exotic language or another.
You can get rid of it again if you don't need it in "Programs > Microsoft
Office Tools > Microsoft Office Language Settings".
If you don't see anything relevant, you might run the Office setup program
("Add/remove features") and look there for Far East support...
Not sure what the relevant stuff might be. If you can't figure it out, you
might ask in the .word.international.features newsgroup.
