How do I get rid of/turn off the complex scripts feature that has suddenly
appeared?

In Start=>Programs=>Microsoft Office=>Microsoft Office tools
check the Microsoft Office Language Settings tool, or download the combination MS Office language settings utility from
http://microsoft.com/downloads/deta...8c-1019-4ae8-a258-0d5412876dec&DisplayLang=en
to see which languages have been enabled. The complex script features in Tools=>Options and in the Styles and Format=>Font dialog
are displayed when certain languages are enabled.
