I have a complex shape group (probably 44 shapes) where at the group level I
have 2 connection points (type 2). I go to move it around to get it to glue
to other complex shape groups (with their 2 conn points type 2) and they dont
glue (no red box). Note that shapes in the group and at the group level of
custom properties. Also note I use the "is target cell" to enable/disable
connection points inside the group. Also note, the group has grid alignment
disable/enable via action (enable/disable makes no difference in
behavior...disable...offset is 0.00000001mm so dont think its a resolution or
misalignment problem since glue is a ballpark function).
This function works well with simple shape groups (say 2-3 shapes each).
It does not appear to have anything to do with conn points sitting on
control/align boxes. Spoofing it (simple line which connects to complex
group...so that moving both tricks visio into glueing the lines) does not
work.
visio 2003 sp2
shapes involved are a bunch of simple squares set up for isometric view
(similar to the guy in japan but much more power - input via custom prop or
stretch...color shading...light source...etc).
any thoughts?
