Compressed width of character

Hi,


I just installed Visio 2002 and the problem I have is
that for every shape I drag into the drawing area, the
text in the sheet is unreadable as the width of each
character seems to be compressed - the only way I can
make it decently
visible is by pasting the format of an earlier made
drawing in an earlier verion of Visio.

Which setting do I have to adapt so eg if I drag an
organisation block into the drawing area, I see
Name/Title instead of now only a vertical line?

Hi,

aparently, I only have this problem with the arial
lettertype.
Any idea how to get rid of this embarassing issue?

Are you using Arial Narrow, or regular Arial?

Hi Arnold,

that's just Arial I'm using, but apparently, things are
working fine today, maybe because your namesake became
gouvernor today in California ))
