Compressing all images in a document

Hi there,

I have several (about 12) images in a word document that even though
are small, still take up too much room (60 megs for one word
document!). I'm currently using word for macOS X with Service Release
1 installed, how can I compress all the images and crop the unseen
sections automatically in order to bring the document down to a
reasonable size? I seem to remember a function like this available in
the windows version.

Did you find an answer to this question? I am trying to
do the same thing and I have yet to find a solution.
