Compressing attachments

The Help file indicates that if Stuffit Expander is installed on the
computer that I can select compression when I attach a file to send.

It is but all the compression buttons are grayed out. What is problem?

There are some problems with the interaction between Entourage and Stuffit
Expander, which is why I would no longer recommend using that method. Use
the Finder instead, as it allows you to compress files in ZIP format, which
is more widely used than Stuffit. To do that, simply right-click a file and
select "Create Archive" from the contextual menu. Finally, attach the
resulting ZIP file to your messages in Entourage.
