Compressing files

Is there an easy way to compress all the images in a presentation? In
Windows there is a little icon of a picture with arrows pointing in. I
usually have alot of pictures and need to compress them. I've tried
going to the screen that says compress to a certain dpi but with no
effect.

Hi Kenneth,

You can save a presentation as a series of 72 DPI JPEG images. I have
not noticed much effect using the compression settings.

If you could have compression work for you, exactly how would you like
it to work? This is something I've had a notion to perhpas write an
add-in for.

Jim,

I would like the same feature that is on Powerpoint for Windows.
A button that would open a menu that let you choose what resolution all
the pictures in the presentation would be in and compressing it to that
resolution. In Windows the dialog pops up and asks what you are using
the file for (printout vs web display etc) and sets the dpi accordingly
and making the file size more manageable. Thanks.

Hi,

It sounds like I'll have to try the windows program out to see how it works.

Does it automatically re-import the saved pictures with the same
animations, etc that they had before they were exported?
