Compressing Pictures in PowerPoint 2008

I am creating PowerPoint presentations using PowerPoint 2008 for Mac. On my
PC (PowerPoint 2007), I can compress pictures in PowerPoint, is this possible
in the Mac version? If it is, does anyone know which menu this is in?

Mac PPt doesn't have the image compression option. However, IMHO, images
should be properly prepared for their intended use before insertion into any
type of document. If the resulting file is still too large to transport (via
email attachment, for example) use StuffIt to generate a .sitx or .zip file.

Just don't expect too much more compression from ZIP at least ... 2008 files
*are* ZIP archives.
