Computer asks for a CD i don't have

How do I finish installing updates when my computer asks for a CD I don't
have. I went to the FAQ's and tried everything it asked me to. I put in my
Microsoft Works 2004 CD and it did nothing. I'm so freaking mad. I can't
start Word without my computer doing some stupid "preparing to install" junk,
then it does some "Windows XP Office home page" B.S. that asks for the
aforementioned CD.

If you can help, Please do.
