My computer locks up completely when I try to play a powerpoint slide show using powerpoint 2008. No mouse control. No advance with the space bar. No force quit. I have to shut down the computer with the power button. I thought it was because I was trying to play a powerpoint authored on a PC, but when I made a simple 3 slide original "show", the same thing happened: total lockdown. I have repaired permissions and trashed preferences to no avail. The show works fine on the Office X version of powerpoint. I would appreciate any other suggestions on how to fix this mess. Thanks.
