computer freeze when using word & outlook

My computer is running Window XP Pro SP1a & Office XP Small Business SP3. My system alway freeze while I'm typing in Word or Outlook composing a mail. Not even the mouse is moving. I have to power recycle the PC all the time when this happen. Can anyone help with a solution. Big thanks.

Does this happen in safe mode? Usually a driver is at fault when this occurs.

Do a detect and repair from help in Word.

Go to the manufacturer's web site and look around for updated drivers for your video
card and printer.
