computer keeps wanting to install MS Office

I recently tried to speed up my fathers computer using registry
mechanic and a program called find junk files both of which I made a
restore point with incase of problems I also unchecked the box for
allowing indexing service for faster file searching(which is suppossed
to allow further speed improvements) after all that if I click on a
desktop icon whether it's my documents, internet explorer it wants to
install ms office(which was a program installed at the retailer outlet
years earlier obviously wiped out) so it asks for the cd which i don't
have. I've restored to those earlier times which have no effect what do
i do?
