computer problems

Hi,

I would greatly appreciate help ASAP. I have Windows ME
and I just moved and just set up my computer and whenever
I try to open an application in my control panel a message
appears that says "Windows cannot access the specified
device,path,or file. You may not have the appropriate
permissions to access the item." I dont think it has
anything to do with my username because I have used it
before under my sign in name. Thank you.

application.

Suggest you try one of the Windows newsgroups.
