I have Office 2003 running on XP SP2 home edition and whenever I try to use
Office my computer restarts. Any office application I use (usually word or
powerpoint) has this problem and it happens randomly, usually within 10 mins.
I can use any other app on my computer for days without this problem arising.
Every time I try to uninstall Office so I can reinstall it, the computer
restarts--every time. As a result I can not uninstall this program. Booting
up in safe mode prevents me from uninstalling because it says the windows
installer service is not running.
Does anyone have any idea as to how I can get Office to work?
Here are the specs of my computer:
533 MHz DDR2 Kingston RAM 1GB
2.8 GHz Pentium D
200 GB Maxtor HDD (with plenty of empty space)
P4M800PRO-M ECS mobo
(using onboard video)
Antec 480 Watt power supply
