computer slow starting and shutting down

Hello,
Could anyone tell me why it takes so long around 4-5 minutes to start or
shut my computer on or off?
After it is up it runs just fine.

It seems that you asked in a totally wrong place.

Pls ask in a group for the Windows version you are working with. And in
your posting pls specify the OS.
