Computers re-booting at random...

Dave

We have around a hundred computers on our school network
that are running Win2K Pro on the NT domain. Things are
working fine with the majority of them. These are AMD XP
1800+ CPUs with 256Mb RAM. The lab teaches MOUS
courseware with Microsoft Office XP.
A couple of the computers are re-booting at odd times -
for the most part when the kids are in Word. VERY
occasionally when in IE 6, SP1. The teacher said that
when it happens when they are in IE, they also have a
session of Word running.
Is there any known incompatibility with Win2KPro and
Office XP Pro? Could the NT4 domain be the culprit? I
would think if it were NT, all of them would be doing it.

Thanks in advance!

My vote is bad memory, which is responsible for all undesired reboots I've
seen on Win2K. (Win9x, on the other hand, seems to reboot whenever it has a
whim).
