Hi, I manage about 150 workstations and I've been seeing a trend recently.
When someone has outlook 2003 open a svchost.exe instance will consume 100%
of the CPU. It's not a virus and it only happens on some machines. It has
been getting worse however and seems to occur when we patch the machines (we
thought we had it narrowed down but some of the machines don't have the
patches we thought were causing it). Any ideas? This is becoming to
widespread to be an isolated incident.
It seems as if shutting down outlook or disconnecting the computer from the
network fixes the problem...
