Concantenate issues ...

Hi guys,

I'm having a bit of an issue using this formula and wondered if anyone
can help me with it.

I have used the concantenate formula to merge 2 numbers together to
make 1 long number, e.g. 98261360205452 joined to 8485 to make
98261360205452.

There are 340 numbers like this and they are in one document. I now
need to transfer the new longer number to a different excel document,
save it as a csv file and email off to an external company.

However, when I copy and paste the number across, it copies the
formula and not the new number across. How do I do it so the actual
number is copied and not the formula?

Thanks

Sorry, the longer number should of course be 982613602054528485

One way:

Copy, then choose Edit/Paste Special, selecting the Values radio button.

If this is indeed a number, Excel can only handle 15 significant digits, so
the number is likely to be changed after concatenation. If this is not
really a value, but something like a part number, concatenate a space or an
apostrophe to the beginning of the string to keep it as a string.
