Concatenate

I want to combine two cells , one cell having text and and the other has date
i used Concatenate function but it gives me the text but converts date in to
text also.
is there any other way to combine both text and date in one cell.

Try this with your date in b1 and some text in a1

=A1&TEXT(B1,"dd/mm/yyyy")
