concatonation formula

Your formula should take a form similar to this:

=CONCATENATE(A1,"-",B1,"-",C1,"-",D1,"-",E1)

As long as you have the dash in quotes, you should be good
to go. If this does not work, post your formula so we can
look at it.

I think it maybe that your formula is in a cell which is formatted as text,
try right clicking the cell, 'Format' > 'Number' select 'General' then
highlight whats in the formula bar and hit F2,
