Cond. Format Formula

P

Phil Hageman

A cell has the following data entry formats: 1.0la,
3.5ot, etc., a number followed by two letters. I want to
conditionally format on the two letters. What would the
formula be to return a true value?

Thanks, Phil

Phil,

Use the RIGHT function to return the right-most characters. E.g.,

=RIGHT(A1,2)="ot"

will return TRUE if the right-most characters in A1 are 'ot'.
