condition for rule

hello,

i have a sumbit rule to send the form view via email, the data i am using is
a small number (ex: .038), the rule will work for my other fields (they are
above ".1" ) but not this one. The rule appears to work when i change the
condition to ".1" for that field.

Is there a workaround so i can get the rule to work with a smaller number?

thanks.

it's pretty basic, the user enters a number into the field, upon submit the
rule checks the condition "If water is greater than or equal to 0.038" then
"Submit via data connection: Water Value" the "water value" is an email data
connection. for some reason it won't submit, the only thing i can come up
with is that the number is too small, because if i change the rule to ".1" it
works. I have similar rules running on this form and they all work, and they
are all over ".1".

thanks.

Hi,

It is worked for me if i use the "0.0038" in the condition. The rule is
firing if enter the value more than "0.0038". For example it is worked for me
if i enter 0.0038, 0.0039 in the water field.

By the way are you using browser enabled form?

no the form is not browser enabled, but all the other rules work but this
one. and they are all over ".1" this rule is "0.038", weird that you can get
it to work on "0.0038"?

Sorry. Actually i hav etried with 0.038 only. But i typed wrong here. Are you
using any other rules for that submit button?

yes, and they all work. All tests point to the fact that the number is below
".1", unsure why it doesn't work for me, probably somewhere in the formatting
in the beginning, really unsure.

Anyway i cheated and made a hidden field that gets a text entry from the
entered data field, that text entry is now the condition for the email
submit, noone will know the differance...lol....still gets the job done.

Thanks for your help.

Josh
