conditional and summary in same report

Here's what I am trying to do:
In a report that is a summary report that works well with adding up the
totals for the week, we have inventory numbers that we want to keep track of.
They print out great in the daily reports, but on Friday we want to print the
weekly report and take just Friday’s number instead of adding the whole
week’s inventory together. That is just for the inventory tasks. We want to
still sum everything else.

Example:
Daily Data Entry:
Week Ending Date: 10/7/05
Date: 10/3/05
Dept: Cost
Task: Container Inventory empty
Actual: 30

Week Ending Date: 10/7/05
Date: 10/4/05
Dept: Cost
Task: Container Inventory empty
Actual: 32

Week Ending Date: 10/7/05
Date: 10/5/05
Dept: Cost
Task: Container Inventory empty
Actual: 31

Week Ending Date: 10/7/05

Task: Container Inventory empty
