Conditional "Cannot be blank"

Hello All!

I am wondering if there is a way to conditionally require a field based on
another field. For example, if the user selects "Other" from a dropdown then
I would like to require a description but the description is not required in
other cases.

I do not see anything in the conditional formatting to let me do this, but
perhaps I am missing something. Can it be done programatically?

I should have googled better; I found an answer to this in the thread with
the subject "Cannot be blank in hidden sections" in this newsgroup.
