Tried the first on in the table props box, but didnt work.
Will the fact, that they are different field types affect this.
Not too hot with Access, so dont know what to put in the On Enter or On
got focus boxes.

Not sure if this is me... it really helps to reply in the same thread that
you started.

If I remember rightly you wanted to specify a table-level Validation Rule.
You should go to the database window, select the Tables tab, select the
table you are interested in, open it with the Design button, then choose
View > Properties open its property sheet. On this sytem, the Validation
rule is the third line down.

Just enter the rule that I gave you in there.

Note that if any of your existing records flout the rule you will not be
able to save the validation rule until you have corrected those records.
