conditional formatting in the active view...

Is there some way to determine which form view is currently active...
and then apply conditional formatting to items, somehow based on
whether or not the active view is X?

Thanks

You can set up user groups and have the form validate the username against
the group they are in and associate a group with a view. Does this answer
your question?

No, but thanks for replying.

I'm looking for a way to apply conditional formatting based on the
currently active view rather than a field's value or the current user
role.

I don't really understand it, but conditional formatting seems to be
applied to the field rather than the control displaying the
field...so, if you have conditional formatting set on something in one
view, then create a new view and put the same field in it, the
conditional formatting you applied in the first view continues to
apply.

It seems that there should be a way to work around this....
