I haven't been able to figure out how to do conditional
formatting in Tables in Word. Excel allows conditional
formatting. Word doesn't seem too. I have applications
where I have huge matrices in tables in Word with, for
example, an "A" or a "B" in each cell. I want to shade
all the "A" cells, for example, with 25% grey. The only
way I can do this is to highlight each cell or block of
cells if any are contiguous and then apply shading.
Why the heck isn't there some way to do this automatically
through conditional formatting. Please advise if there
is a way to do it and I just haven't discovered it or,
can't it be done and is this an enhancement that MS will
add next time around. Makes no sense to me why there
would be conditional formatting in Excel but not in Word!
Thanks,
Dave
