I'm using Excel 2007.
I'm trying to use conditional formatting in the following way. I have two
columns. A and B. I want to format B1 if it is greater than A1, and B2 if
it greater than A2, B3 if it's greater than A3, etc. However, I cannot get
it to work correctly. Is there a way to create the conditional format on
the B2 cell and then click and drag the formula to the other cells?
This is what I have tried:
I highlight B1 and the go to Conditional Formatting -> Highlight Cell
Rules -> Greater Than...
I enter $A$1 in the "Format cells that are GREATER THAN:". However, when I
select that the rule applies to the other cells it does not change the $A$1
to $A$2, $A$3, etc.
How can I fix it so the value changes for the formulas on all the other
cells it is applied to?
Thanks,
Jaycee
