conditional formatting stops responding after 6th record on form

I have designed a form that accepts 8 entries. Each entry consists of two
fields (a date field and a text description field). I have added conditional
formatting to the date field, such that the dates that fall within a 6 month
period, from the current date are shown on the form in red font. [Field Value
is - less than - Date()-182.5]

The conditional formatting works fine in entries 1 through 6. However
entries 7 & 8 do not respond to the conditional formatting. I have confirmed
that all of the date fields on the form have the same characteristics. What
could I be missing here?
