Conditional Formatting

I have the normal three sheet workbook open. I was wondering if on one
page i fill (color) a certain cell and could have, on another page, a
formula summing the number of cells that i've highlighted in a certain
color?

If the cells are colored due to meeting conditions under Conditional
Formatting, sum or count them using the same condition.

If colored manually, Excel has no built-in Function for this.

See Chip Pearson's site for summing and counting by color.

Note: these Functions don't work with Conditionally Formatted cells.

To work with colorindex of Conditionally Formatted cells see

http://www.cpearson.com/excel/CFColors.htm
