CONDITIONAL FORMATTING

I am trying to apply some conditional formatting to pages in a
workbook...however the 'conditional formatting' is 'de-selected' on the drop
down, so i'm not able to use it...

Why is this?

I have made sure the workbook and pages are not LOCKED...

if your workbook is shared you can't apply conditional formatting, you need
to remove that first

I removed the document from my 'shared' folder, and nothing changed.

You need to do tools>share workbook and clear allow changes by more than one
user etc.
