Good evening to all !
I use Excel 2003.
I have a simple production log used to match man hours against production
hours.
What I am trying to achieve is :
If the the total production hours are in excess of the available man hours -
two conditions -
1. If the production hours are more than (say) 3 hours the cell showing the
available hours turns a selected colour.
2. If the production hours are more than (say) 5 hours the cell showing the
available hours turns another colour.
The production team very often make time and so a 3 hour over booking is
achievable but a warning needs to show. But if the production time is 5 hours
above the available hours it is not possible to achieve and it needs to show
in a more forceful way !
Just to be clear - I am only trying to highlight 1 cell - the 1 that shows
the difference between the available man hours and the total production hours.
I have tried to use conditional formatting - which I think should solve the
problem - but fall over on the way to do it !
I hope the problem is clear - any help on this is very much appreciated..
