Conditional Formatting

I am working with a value matrix in Excel 2007. Each category's response
field is set up as a data validation drop down menu. The person responding
clicks on the drop down and chooses good, fair, or bad to a particular
question
Can I use conditional formatting to change the color of the response
depending on whether the person chooses good, fair, or bad from the drop down
menu?

Thanks,

--Select the range of cells. Assume this range is A1:A7
--Goto Home tab>Styles>Conditional Formatting>Manage rules>New rule>Format
only cells that contain
--Cell value>equal to
--Click the Format button
--Select the desired style(s)
OK

Likewise add all 3 conditions.

If this post helps click Yes

Yes, you can use Cell Contents then Equal To and put in "good" and
set your colour. Add another condition for "Fair" with a different
colour, and then a third condition for "Bad" with its colour.

Hope this helps.

Pete
