MS Access 2003

I have an app in 2000 that makes a control a color with conditional
formatting; however in Access 2003 there are no colors.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I don't understand your question. I have Access 2003, and there are colors
available for condtional formatting.

Thanks.

I wrote an app in 2000 and it displays color with conditional formatting.

When I load it onto a system running 2003 it does not show the colors.

Any ideas about this?

Thanks for your help.

I have done a little checking on this, and have found that other users
reported a similar situation. I have not done enough research to know if it
is related to one service pack or another, but I do know that at least one
person reported having to re-create the Conditional Formatting. It may be
an example of a discontinuity in some situations between versions of Access.
Sorry I couldn't be of any more help, but perhaps a Google groups search
will yield some information I did not find.

I wrote some conditional formatting in 2000 and now when IK run it in 2003
it does not show. Yes, there is conditional formatting colors in 2003 and
when I look at the form in design view, the colors show, but when I look at
it in form view, I get no colors.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

There is conditional formatting built in for A2003 (not sure for A2000)
Select the control >> Format >> Conditional Format >> choose the conditions
and the format. Easier than writing code.

I have it working correctly on a Access 2000 computer, but when I put it on
an Access 2003 computer I don't see any colors.

I haven't heard of this before. Access 2003 normally makes colors available
in the dialog for conditional formatting.
In Access 2003, when I choose Format >> Conditional Formatting,
I see the dialog, I can choose the Condition, the operator (between, equal
to etc) there are 2 text boxes to enter values, you can choose Bold, Italic,
Underline, next to Underline there is the paint pot symbol, when I click its
drop arrow I can choose a colour, there is an A for choosing text colour,
when I click its dropdown I can choose a colour.
What happens on your A 2003 computer. Can you see the paintpot and A
symbols? do they have a drop arrow on them?

Thanks for you help.

I copied the program from an Access 2000 computer onto the computer with
Access 2003 and it works fine. I don't know what caused it to stop working
on the Access 2003 machine, but all is well now.

Thanks again.

Glad you got it working.
