conditional formatting

Does anyone know how to conditionally format one cell based on the
contents of another cell?
I know how to format this cell conditional to the contents of this
cell, but I need to format another cell based on the contents of this
cell.
Specifically, I want to change the cell color of the other cell based
on what is entered in this cell.
Any ideas?

The basics........

A1 contains the number 34

B1 Format>Conditional Formatting>Condition1>Formula is: =A1>11

Pick a nice color and OK.

Note: you can set three conditions.
