Browsing through the posters in this news group I came across this link:
http://www.attcanada.net/~kallal.msn/Articles/Grid.htm showing an example of
a continuous form with different formats for odd and even rows. The author
says a conditional formatting was used to achieve this effect. I tried to
figure out what expression may have been used and failed. My guess is that a
function that returns a record number is needed here. I haven't found such
built-in Access function. Is it correct that we can't do without some VBA
coding (user defined function?) here? Or there actually is a way to use only
buil-in Access functions? Any hints are welcome. Hope I worded my question
clearly enough.
